Sarko Mutafyan is a photographer and editor based between Bulgaria and England. His projects focus on his upbringing in Eastern Europe and aim to
deconstruct the domestic and socio-political environments within the region. Further attention is placed on cultural dissociation, family archaeology and border territories as material and psychological spaces. His professional
practice has recently secured a TPG DEVELOP Bursary to attend the 'Looking East: Photography in Central and Eastern Europe in the 1930's-90's' course
run by The Photographers' Gallery, London.
