BIOGRAPHY

Sarko Mutafyan (b. 1995, Plovdiv, Bulgaria) is a Bulgarian
documentary photographer currently based between London,
UK and Bulgaria. His ongoing work focuses on socio-political and
historical issues of identity, unity and borders. By dwelling in the
microcosms of smaller stories and individuals' lives, he aims
to find a common ground in their importance for the
collective picture.

His work has been nominated for the Genesis Imaging
Postgraduate Bursary, published on the LensCulture
Magnum Photography Awards Gallery, and exhibited
within the UK and Bulgaria during Night of Museums
